Parking

Layby for a few cars opposite St Bartholemew's Church. Also street parking within the village, we didn't have trouble finding somewhere to park

Terrain

Very flat walk overall, field and muddy paths which can be boggy. Kissing gates and a couple of stiles at about the half way mark - Hank got under easily though.

Water

Small stream crossing near the start, quite steep banks mostly but determined dogs could find a way in for a splash.

Poo Bins

Poo bin by the red phone box in front of the church.

Local Info

Interesting old phone box transformed into a history box by the church with details of the village's past. Pub right at the start/finish too which we didn't visit today but the food smelt fantastic!

Walk Distance:

2.8km

Author Review

The picturesque church is the start of the walk here, if you follow through the graveyard it leads on to a narrow path, then through the kissing gate into the first small field.

The path goes off diagonally and then over the stream there's a pretty little bridge into the next field. Through the next field the path again heads diagonally to continue the route - we have been here a couple of times and the first time the path was indiscernible in the crops but does exist.

From here it's very straight forward, keep going through the fields and keep left whenever signposted and it creates a nice easy loop finally coming out just up the road from the church where you started.

It was dry when we went and even now some sections were a little boggy, we have been here it wetter seasons and gets incredibly flooded and impassable so wouldn't come here if there's been lots of rain.

It's a beautiful calm area, and we had a lovely walk, only passing a couple of people. No signs of any livestock on our route all the fields were crops.
