Parking is just parallel on the little residential street close to the entrance.
It's quite hilly and uneven there are some questionable improvised bridges and steps as well as a few stiles with signs mentioning the possibility of cattle
There wasn't any water when we went but there were ditches that had rustic log bridges over them suggesting that in the rainy season there could be water in them!
At the entrance there is a dog poo bin.
The public benches are marked on Google maps for this walk. At the top there is a beautiful view of Exeter on a clear day.
This nature reserve although rustic and somewhat uneven under foot was thoroughly enjoyable, we did not let the dogs off here because of the livestock posters, also being a nature reserve we thought it was for the best. We did not see any cows but plenty of evidence in the form of cow droppings a delicacy for some dogs I know. There are benches scattered around the trails although none appear to be in shady areas. The view at the top is well worth the hike up the hill!
