You can either park in the local visitors car park just off the road, or if you head up the track towards Forest Holidays reception there's lots of parking there too.
Mostly nice level solid pathways through the forest but will be muddy uneven sections in parts. Bit hilly in parts but nothing too steep.
No water here
Lots of bins around the cafe, and also one at the top of the meadow grassed area.
If you head to the main Forest Holidays car park then is a cafe and gift shop which is a nice stop, and dog friendly too. It is publicly accessible so not just for overnight guests, and when I went they were setting up a very nice little Christmas lit woodland trail which looked lovely as started to get dark!
I went past the entrance car park and headed up to the main resort car park which had lots of spaces. To start the route I headed back up the road and up the hill before heading into the woods on the left and there were plenty of paths and routes to explore. There are various coloured bollards around so I assume there are set routes if you wanted to check that out but I just ambled around, eventually coming back through the large grassed area leading back to the car park.
This is a holiday village though, so best to avoid routes directing you to cabins as don't want to be walking around peoples holiday homes, but my route explored lots of pretty forest routes and only came across another couple of walkers so was a nice and quiet walk.
