The free car park is signed from the A24, head into May Tree Avenue, take the first left and it's a few hundred yards along the road.
Is a fairly steep uphill walk for a good 15 minutes to start with. Mainly field and chalk paths, some are quite uneven and is a small section of woodland to walk through too.
No water here.
Several poo bins in the car park, none beyond there.
See Chanctonbury Ring for another similar local walk, and look out for the grazing ponies at the top.
The hill walk to start with is a bit of a trek, but once you're at the top it's absolutely worth it. It's a simple circular walk around the ring, with grassy pastures, chalk paths and pretty trees and woodland areas too. The views from all aspects are simply spectacular and there's several benches along the way to stop and admire them.
It is a fairly popular place but wasn't crowded at all, and once you're through the kissing gate on to the circular path there's no cyclists allowed. There are free grazing ponies in the centre so you will need to keep your dog on the lead at least for some parts but there's also lots of wide open spaces for off lead walking.
