Parade, Seaside Hill, Combe Martin, EX34 0AW Pay and display. Small carpark so could be busier at high peak times.
Via the South West Coastal path - will signposted, clear path, can be rocky under foot and lots of ups and downs.
Lovely stream as you work your way down the path into Heddon’s Mouth valley. There is opportunity to walk further down the valley to the beach.
Public bins in Combe Martin
As always the views are just stunning all the way along this part of the South West Coastal path. You pass Little Hangman and can do a small detour to the summit for an extra amazing view. The walk finishes at The Hunters Inn - a super dog friendly hikers pub where you can get food and are so helpful with helping you get back to where you came from! They have a list of taxi numbers and let you use their phone. I had a really laid back local taxi driver collect us and drive us back to Combe Martin, very laid back about having the dogs in the car!
Gorgeous walk with fabulous views. Mostly incline to for the first section so can be challenging. Is lovely open grass fields with marked path, could be muddier in autumn/winter. Later the path is more rocky but steady under foot. Then declines into the Heddon’s Valley, again quite challenging…down into woodland and a lovely stream where join a very quiet road to the pub.
