Free parking in the Corbridge Village car park, on the opposite side of the bridge to the main village. The car park is fairly large but does get busy at times.
Mostly flat, narrow footpaths along the river and wider gravel track a bit further back.
Quite a few opportunities to access shallow edges of the river Tyne, but we prefer to let Riley into the Devil's Water at the furthest point of this route as it's easier to get down to.
Bins in the car park, next to the gate onto the riverside.
Corbridge is a lovely village with lots of dog friendly pubs and shops. Highly recommend checking out The Pele which is a micro pub in an old pele tower.
This is a really pleasant stretch of the River Tyne with a lot of wide open space where dogs can be off lead throughout. There's a few different paths around but we tend to walk along the path closest to the river until you reach the Devil's Water, there's no way across without going up to the road and no access on the other side so it's as far as you can go, then join up onto the surfaced path further back to walk back to the car park.
