Free parking on Glebe Road, a residential street. We have always been able to find a space but I would avoid going there at school drop off or pick up times as there is a primary school on that road. Alternatively you can park in the Cuckfield Baptist Church car park which joins up with the same initial path (free parking).
Open fields and some woodland sections. Slight hills. Well marked paths which can get muddy in winter (wellies advised) but great spring/summer. No stiles.
No water here
Bin at entrace to initial path off the residential road or at Cuckfield Baptist church car park.
Lots of options to expand or shorten the walk. The start point is near to the Rose & Crown pub in Cuckfield which has a coffee truck there most mornings.
Start by going down a public footpath off Glebe Rd. On your right you will come to a gate which takes you across a lovely open field with two friendly horses. There is then a clear path to follow to take you through a few more open fields all separated with gates which can get quite boggy in the winter so wellies would be useful.
The final field sometimes has horses in but they tend to ignore walkers/dogs. You will then meet the edge of Millenium wood where you can extend the walk if you want to and head down towards Blunts wood (some beautiful views from there).
We did a loop back via a path in the woods but if unsure of the right path, you can easily go back on yourself to get back to the open fields. This is one of our favourite walks with lovely open fields and great views. Fairly quiet with the odd dog walker around and great for dogs to run off the lead.
