Small layby looks like old bus stop next to the post box, space for couple of cars only
Fields and country road tracks mostly, wirh couple of woodland sections where paths were very boggy. Several gates, and stile right at the start that Hank only just squeezed through the doggy door. Quite a hilly route with no steep climbs, but some long inclines.
There are some ponds and fishing lakes which are nice to look at, but not for dogs to swim or get in
Right at the start by the shelter
Part of this route goes along a stretch which is also in the Furnace Lakes walk which is worth a look at too.
If you're looking for a peaceful stroll then this is a good bet, it's nice and quiet going round the Sussex farmland and fields. We only past a couple of people and there's lots of space and the views over the long fields are lovely in places.
Many fields do have livestock and there are some sections which do go on bridleways so look out for that, and this does mean off lead time is limited.
I originally planned to walk past the lakes and continue on a different route, but just past the lakes there was a stile that had no space for Hank to get through, so we backtracked a bit and went a differnet way instead which you'll notice on the route map, so if youre following my route you can just skip that bit unless you want to check out the lakes. Or if you can get over the stile and want a different route there's plenty of other options too.
