Free Car park closed half an hour before sunset. Is height barrier, didn't see height but pretty low maybe 2m
Nice flat walk. Are man made paths for much of the way, and grassy mud tracks through the woods and pastural areas
Couple of very pretty ponds, are for angling though so don't think dogs can go in although didn't see any signs
Couple in the car park and one by the first pond
Car park here is not huge, I went early morning and was plenty of spaces when I arrived but by the time I got back there wasn't many spaces left so may get busy.
It's a beautiful area, you can stick to the paths to take you round the common, or if you venture off the beaten track you'll find the wild reserve used for pasture and grazing which is a lovely area to explore. There are a couple of gates to this area, and is electric fenced so whilst there are some V shaped styles to get out at various points, if your dog is like mine and doesn't want to go over these you may find yourself backtracking to find a proper gate. Cows are grazing in this area.
The main paths are popular with joggers, cyclists and are used by horses too but I didn't pass anyone exploring the wild area. Even so unless you have an incredibly behaved dog then mostly a lead walk here.
