Large car park will be busy at peak times, and closes strictly at 9pm! RingGo 16258
Flat walk mainly, some muddy and uneven woodland tracks but mostly well accessible. Are some road sections though without pavement, not proper main roads though
Disappointingly dogs aren't allowed in the water at the beach. However, on the other side there are several smaller access points where dogs can splash about. Absolutely stinks though!!
At the start and by the cafe were only ones we saw
Has cafe and toilets by the car park, amd sailing club as well for water activities. You can also link up to the Frensham Little Pond walk as well for a longer route.
This place has a great inland beach, with large sandy shallow area and swimming area so is a really popular place when the sun's out, especially in the holidays.
I came here years ago, before Hank, so knowing how busy it can get waited until a miserable day to come back in the hope it would be deserted, and pretty much was so had a nice relaxed walk.
The beach however is completely off limits to dogs, you can't miss the multitude of signs forming a barrier so not easy to miss. So we walked the perimeter, and still plenty of sand to play in, and we took a little extension just past the Frensham hotel which took us round another pretty lake with lots of noisy geese on before heading back to the car park.
Also, not sure if this is just seasonal for nesting birds but were signs saying dogs on leads at all times. So all in all, not a particularly dog friendly place but in truth for us Hank is on the lead 90% of the time anyway but if you're not used to that may be a little resticted here!
