Dependant on where you start this route you can either park at Giants Caves where there is a small free car park right off the Broughton Road just outside of Banbury. Or you can also start this walk from the new Banbury Rise Estate in Banbury where there is limited visitor parking available.
A little hilly but nothing too strenuous. No stiles or Obstacles. Woodland and open fields and well laid out and marked pathways, some of this route is included on the Banbury Fringe Official Walk.
Another patch where there are a couple of seasonal water features, and some of this route runs along the brook, its not very deep and perfect for the dogs to splash about in.
Only one bin at present on this route, that is at the beginning of the route just by the giants cave information board.
A couple of hundred metres up the road from the start of this walk there is the Saltway Farm Shop and Cafe, see the website for full details of opening times etc. www.saltwayfarmshop.co.uk/cafe/ . If this walk isn't quite far enough for you or you want to incorporate a pub stop, then you can always add on a bit of the Banbury Rise - Hanwell Circular or the Hanwell Drayton Circular walks under our profile on Pup and Away.
This is one of our shorter routes from this side of Banbury, it can get a little muddy in the winter weather but don't let that stop you, just take your wellies. There are plenty of off lead opportunites, through woodland and open fields and there is usually only crops in the fields rather than any animals. The car park at the start does get busy, especially on the weekends.
