Small, free National Trust car park
Was dry when I visited but I think could be quite challenging when wet and muddy! Some paths are uneven, a few stepped sections and narrow paths too. No stiles. Is quite hilly with some steep parts too, but quite a short walk so not too taxing!
No water here
One bin just by the info board pin the car park
There is a large memorial stone seat at the top of the hill, for Octavia Hill who was a founder of the National trust and a moving force behind the development of social housing. Typically was people sat on it when I visited so didn't think they'd want me photographing them!
This is a lovely area through woodlands, with a bit of a climb half way through to a scenic viewpoint. There are various pathways if you want to explore but I followed the pre-marked route called the Octavia Hill route which was a nice convenient way to get round the area. Just look out for the signposts as per the picture - some of the signs are missing but keep an eye out for the posts and you can generally see where they should have been without too much difficulty!
A nice quiet area when I went, for much of the first half you can see a fair distance ahead so Hank was off the lead for much of the way. Is used by other dog walkers and we saw a few, and also horses do use this route.
