Parking

Large car park located past the entrance to the recycling centre

Terrain

Stick to the paths and it's a very flat and easy walk. Head into the woods and fields and it becomes more hilly, and the woodland trails are very boggy in wet weather.

Water

There is a small lake here that you can walk around, but is an angling lake so you wouldn't be too popular if your dog starts jumping in! Small stream runs through the woodland too but dry in summer months.

Poo Bins

Poo bins in the car park, and a couple around the paved playing fields path

Local Info

Home of Billingshurst football club and cricket club. Skate park and fitness trails also in the park

Walk Distance:

3.6km

Author Review

If you want a quick walk away from residential areas where there's decent pathways so you don't have to hose your muddy mutt down when you get home then this is a good spot with lots of parking and is easy to get to. It can be very busy but that can also be a good things sometimes, especially for young or training dogs it can be beneficial to expose them at times to more people, dogs, bikes etc.

However it's not just an urban playing fields we are still in the countryside here, and if you head left and past the lake the paths take you round a couple of large fields great for letting your dog off-lead, and there's a woodland trail too which can create a loop back to the playing fields.

My walk today went into the woods and round the fields, but just sticking to the paths will probably only take you around 20 minutes.
