Decent sized car park - easy to miss but if you look for The Cricketers Inn pub on Forge road it's just next to that
Mostly nice and flat with few gentle climbs. Some forest sections are pretty narrow and bumpy, so stiles
Is a very pretty lake right at the start but is an angling lake so dogs not allowed in, and no other water found.
No bins here
Best to check the info boards in the car park if it's your first time here, it's not a huge area but a good place to get your bearings. There are lots of different paths and we tried to kind of do the perimeter of it and cut in a few times to explore the area.
There's some really nice one areas with a large grassy patch in the middle, lots of criss crossing paths through the sandy heath and some nice shady forest trails around the outside. If you head up the highest point which you'll see not far past the lake then there's some really nice views across the landscape too.
Very quiet too with only a few people we crossed paths with - does look like is used by horses but we didn't see any on our walk.
