There's several lay-bys and off-road parking along Kirdford Road. We parked opposite the bus shelter just before the village hall (coming from Billingshurst). The start of the walk is just the other side of the bus shelter in my picture.
Generally pretty flat. There are stiles which we didn't have a problem with so most dogs should be fine, and are also some stepped bridge sections. Narrow paths incredibly boggy in wet weather!
Couple of sections of streams that you cross along the way.
We found one poo pin on Kirdford Road as we re-joined it at the end of the walk.
Foresters Arms pub is on the main road between the start and end of my route.
The start of the walk takes you past a couple of fields along a private road which leads into a narrow footpath. at the first path junction we took a right, ignoring the path with the stile straight ahead. Past his next field it opens up into a nice woodland area with the footbridge over the stream. Through this you head through a nice open field, past this and the path leads left round a fenced sheet field, as you walk right at the next edge it's not long after and there's a narrow path off to your left, through the stile and out on to a wild meadow. from here it's a left at the next couple of junctions through another section of woodland, over a small private road and through a playing field which is a nice bit of open space.
Head directly across the football pitch and the path continues, over the next bridge we went straight over and this takes you back onto Kirdford road and back to where you've parked.
Th stiles here were no problem for us at all and had big gaps in. There are grazing fields that you walk past, but no animals on the actual route as far as I could make out. As you come to the peak of the loop, if you do take a wrong turn you could end up very close to the road so watch out for that, you can generally hear the road near there anyway.
Some of the paths were quite narrow, and going on a very wet day were incredibly boggy. It's a nice quiet area though but personally I would recommend going in drier weather for a more enjoyable walk!
