Singleton is a small old village with narrow roads, no actual parking here but we found a space in The Leys opposite the school, other than that it's just looking for a space along the road so not great here.
Very hilly, some long steep sections. Most paths are grass or chalk paths, some narrow with stepped sections. No stiles, lots of gates.
No water here
At the beginning of the path just off the road by the school
The Fox Goes Free pub is a lovely dog-friendly spot just den the road from the start
The path is just next to the school and starts next to the playground and you head straight up the hill in the first field.
In the next field the path shortly veers off slightly to the right before there's then a cross junction in the middle of the field, head straight over this one.
You carry on over the hill through field before coming to a field gate and gravel path with lots of signposts and different routes. Head right down the chalk path, but keep an eye out for a very overgrown and narrow path shortly on your right and head through there, and the gate will lead onto another field.
This route then takes you through some little woodland sections, and meadows along the side of the hill, and eventually you'll come to a T juntion - head right up the hill and this then leads you back to the field you started in so back down the hill to the village.
The first couple of fields are huge and lots of space to run - clearly are used for livestock so be aware of that although none at all see today.
