We parked in The Red Lion car park and had drinks in the garden afterwards, there is also limited parking through the village.
There are a couple of hills on this walk together with plenty of styles and gates but nothing complicated or too strenuous.
No water here
Only in the village of Long Compton.
You can make a small divert on this route to take in the Rollright Stones site (www.rollrightstones.co.uk). You can see them across the field so its an easy divert. The Red Lion in Long Compton is the only pub on this route and has a huge beer garden at the back and is super dog friendly. They have a #woofwednesday on social media every week as well, see if you can get your woof involved. www.redlion-longcompton.co.uk
Plenty of off lead opportunities on this walk. It was March when we did this walk and the weather has been awful so some of the route is a bit muddy. Fellow Author Mother of Sausages joined us for this ramble across the countryside which crosses over and uses some of the The Macmillan Way, Shakespeare Way and D'Arcy Dalton Way if you are marking some of those routes off. There is some stunning view points all along this route, make sure you remember to look behind you as well as in front.
