***The car park I was heading to was actually shut when I visited, not sure if there's plans to reopen it but if you carry on the road past it toward Headley Down, then just before you get to Seymour road there's a small car park on you left. Only space for about 6 cars or so and was busy when I went.
Most paths are wide and flat sandy heath routes, some smaller trails. Some very small hills but nice easy walk, no stiles or gates.
Hank managed to find a stale old pond but wouldn't recommend this! So no water actually here, but if you want water and a longer route then you can link up to Waggoners Wells - fantastic water there!
No bins here
Search the site for Waggoner's Wells for another great local walk with lakes for swimming
Great open heathland walk here, nice and quiet too - a handful of other walkers/runners on the main paths but plenty of space to yourself for most of the way. Looks like is used by horses too in sections but we didn't see any.
It's not a huge area either, our walk was pretty much the perimeter of the common although there are other routes coming off it if you want to explrore further areas or have a longer walk. A bonus also is that the main paths are on google maps / GPS so if you're using one it's very straight forward.
