Car park next to the road along the B2192, space for about 15 cars or so.
No stiles on our route, and are signs for livestock although we didn't see any. Grass and chalk paths mainly, some very narrow and steep parts.
Dew pond at the top, imagine seasonal though so not sure if will be there in the summer.
Bin at the car park
Interesting clan circle in the bowl of the main chalk pit - apologies for ignorance on this but can't find any details if this is historical or modern but fun to see!
The area I explored is quite small actually but are lots of winding paths to get round the chalk pits and up and above them, so even though our total distance wasn't that far we still felt like we'd had a decent walk.
We found a route that took us through some pretty trees and scrubland, and eventually up the edge of the chalk pit and around the rim of the basin, some paths are very thin with steep sides so definitely one for decent footwear!
Once at the top there's some incredible views, and plenty of other paths too if you want a longer walk. We also found the dew pond in the next fields along at the top which was great for Hank to have a splash.
The area is a Sussex Wildlife Trust nature reserve too so rare flowers and butterflies for nature lovers to be seen!
