Decent size car park with space for around 10 cars.
Mostly sandy woodland trails. Some fairly steep hills, no stiles
No water here
Poo bin just the other side of the info board
Regular visitors to this site will know that many of my walks start with a 'don't do what I did' statement and this is the same here!
Don't bother looking at my route map, there is a map right by the car park so just check that and plan a route and switch on your GPS, it's a nice area to explore. It's actually smaller than I thought, so when following the central path I hadn't realised I'd walked past the last turning off of it, and carried on down a steep hill and ended up by the road - had to go back the way we came and re-explore a different route.
There is some small areas of heathland but mainly this is woodland trails here, with some narrow sections and some lovely areas of forest. As you cross through the first gate from the car park, be aware that there is livestock grazing in this area (you do cross another gate later on so assuming they're restricted to this one area). We didn't realise and then saw some cows grazing right off the path in the middle of the trees a few metres from us which was unexpected, but luckily Hank was on the lead anyway but just something to look out for.
We saw a couple of other walkers but wasn't busy at all, and it's a nice spot for a quick walk with plenty of shade!
