Small car park, space for 10 or so cars
Nice flat walk with some uneven woodland trails. I went in September and paths were mostly dry but sure will get muddy soon. Paths round the main lake are decent, round the smaller lake and grass area though much narrower, bumpier and overgrown.
Dog swimming area in the main lake, and various streams and bits to find
Couple of bins at the start of the route.
A Surrey wildlife trust nature reserve since the brickworks closed in the 70's.
The car park is off the housing estate on the first left as you enter Mulberry Place.
Walking out of the car park we headed right to go round the lakes - there is one main lake which is an angling lake but the first part you come to is a designated dog swimming area so great opportunity for a splash. As you go past this the path goes round to the left on the boardwalk, but there is a small right turn which will take you round the smaller lake.
The smaller lake is much more overgrown and more of a woodland trek with glimpses of the marshy lake through the trees, but the path round the main lake has some incredible views across the water. There is also a grassland area on the map but we swerved this as pathways were a little overgrown and wimped out due to wearing shorts!
A great place for nature spotting, and a nice easy short family friendly walk. I actually thought it would be busier here because of that but car park was empty, and only passed one other dog walker on our route so wonderfully peaceful walk.
