There is a car park right at the bottom of the hill with plenty of space.
Steep climb up the hill mainly on dirt footpaths and some bare rock which could be slippy in wet weather.
Small stream just as you leave the car park, and Riley managed to find a nice, boggy pond about half way up.
Bin at the car park.
North Berwick Law is just outside the town of North Berwick where there are lots of dog friendly pubs/cafes, beaches and a big park. Even the Scottish Seabird Centre allows dogs and is worth a visit!
This is a great little hill, because it's only 187m high it's an easy climb but because it's the only hill around you get amazing views from the summit over a lot of East Lothian, we've even been able to see Edinburgh Castle! There's also a surprising amount of history up there, with lookout buildings from the Napoleonic Wars and WW2, along with a replica of a whale's jawbone. There are a few way markers for the 'path to the summit' towards the start of the walk so try and follow these, as you climb there are a lot of intersecting paths which will all eventually reach the top but just try and stay to the main track as well as you can. We noticed a sign about keeping dogs under close control due to ground nesting birds and there may be exmoor ponies grazing the site depending on the time of year.
