There is plenty of parking space in a designated parking lot.
The terrain is flat and the pathways are established but there are quite a few puddles.

There are picnic tables in the woods if you fancy brining along a picnic. But otherwise the area is fairly isolated.
Ostler's wood is a nice place to wander around there are plenty of paths to explore and all of them are well established.
There are lots of people here and the route is popular with ramblers. There are old concrete ruins in part of the woods but these are self contained and do not pose a risk.
The pine trees are very tall and mature and great for running free through them. We lost a tennis ball in the woods and there are no poo bins anywhere but this is a great place to wander around if it is stormy as the trees provide good shelter.
Horse-riding is allowed in these woods and it is possible you could see a horse and rider.
