Decent sized free RSPB car park at St Wilfrids Church which is the best place to park if you want to go to the beach too. If you just google RSPB Pagham Harbour there is another car park on Selsey Road which it will take you to - you can still access other parts of the harbour from there and can still link up to the beach but will be a much longer walk.
Mainly flat pathways, pebble beach is not too steep.
Much of the wetlands is nature reserve and marshy but a few parts where dogs can splash. Great beach to swim in, and also some inland routes by the spit without the waves.
BIn in the car park
If you're a twitcher then this is a great spot for seeing birds and wildlife, very popular place to take the binoculars!
Our first time visiting here today and we absolutely loved it! The car park leads you straight out into the wetland marshes, and from there we just wandered down to the sea and walked along the spit before coming back in the same way.
There were a few other walkers and nature spotters around but for a sunny Autumn morning it was surprisingly quiet so Hank had lots of space to run off lead and get wet up to his belly which is very brave for him! It's a huge area really and if you want to explore either more of the wetlands, or the beach then plenty of opportunities for longer walks. Hopefully will head back at some point and see what other routes we can find to add to the site.
