Not great here in truth, it is village centre so are a few residential roads - We parked in a lay-by in Downlands which is a small cul-de-sac or you can try Meyers Wood both of which are very close to the start of the route.
Nice flat walk, couple of stepped sections and is mainly along gravel downs link route and then grass and dirt paths through fields.
No water here
Poo bin down The Green where the single track road meets the downs link path at the crossroads.
The route starts along The Green road which is a single track road just off Church Road between Downlands and the High Street (you can just make out the public footpath sign but in amongst the overgrown bushes!)
Head down here for a bit and the downs link intersects the road so head right and carry on there for a while.
After a little while you'll see a signed path off to your left and down into the fields. From here it's basically turning left when you have a chance to create a loop back to the start but are a couple of points where it's not particular clear so worth checking your GPS if you don't trust your sense of direction!
There were a couple of other walkers around but not busy at all and was a really nice quiet country walk and you do get some lovely views across the fields when you're in the more open areas.
Fields are crops and no sign of livestock when we went, there are signs requesting dogs to be on leads through the fields.
