There is a free parking area near the entrance of the Westminster Fields. It was full when I arrived, so I had to park on the street, about 100 m away from the park entrance.
A little bumpy in a few places, but overall, a nice flat walk along the River Darent
Lots of water, easy access for the dogs. The river is not very deep, so in most of the areas, Maple could just walk in the water. A few areas where she had to swim. There was a current, not too strong, but might be a bit strong for smaller dogs.
Yes, by the car park and in the fields. Along the river walk, there are no poo bins.
Not much to see, apart from the nice walk along the river. But if you start from the Westminster fields, and walk North through the path along the river, you will arrive at the other end to a nice pub called Bridges. The pub is just under of a beautiful railway arched bridge.
Perfect destination if you want to take your dog for a swim. Quiet walk, with easy access to the water all along the river. The river is not deep, so most of the dogs can enjoy a bit of fun in the water. A perfect option if you want to avoid big crowds and can finish your walk with a pint at the Bridges pub.
