Theres three car parks along the sea front but as you would expect they do get busy and range from £2-£5 for a days parking, all of them are within 2 minutes walk of the beach, it really is pot luck as to where you can find a space.
Flat Beach leading to a short but steep hill at the end with a Trig Point at the summit.
At low tide the sea is a very long way from the main walk way, but plenty of pools to splash about in if you don't want the long way to the sea. Super dog friendly beach all year round.
All along the beach front there are bins at regular intervals.
A short uphill stroll from the National Trust car park. The view is quite something up and down the Bristol Channel. Both Severn Bridges are visible, as are Steep Holm and Flat Holm, and Cardiff Bay and the hills of South Wales opposite. For the Trig Point baggers there a beautiful one at the top.
We loved this walk along the beach, Riley was absolutely shattered after spending an hour or so dashing through the sand chasing seagulls. Pre warning though the sand is a very muddy sand and he was a little whiffy on the way home in the van, but well worth the visit and a chance to Bag another Trig Point. If you follow our route as well and follow the beach along on the way there and then the sea front road on the way back you get to see the leprachaun graffiti on the old Pill Box from WW2, great photo opportunity for the dog ;).
