Parking space for 5-8 cars at the bottom of Station Road on the right, as well as curb-side parking on Station Road. what3words ///summit.puddles.instant
A mix of hill and flats, including one big hill near the start. You can stay on the gravel & stone paths (still liable for muddiness) or go off smaller woodland paths and through fields.
A few small streams that dogs could get into, but not deep at all, even in the rain. One big pond/lake that is fenced off, but the public are allowed to enter and walk around it in the spring and summer months. I didn't see notification about dogs being allowed in the water or not.
Yes, one by the entrance.
Couple of pubs nearby in West Hoathly.
Olive really likes it here given the range of terrain; a good mix of harder long paths, woodland trails and fields. Opposite the parking space you go through the wide wooden gate to start the walk, with a few houses on the left and field on your right. We stayed on the main path until we'd gone up the big hill and round the corner, then took a left into the woods and climbed more the top where there's access to the fields.
Across the fields and down to the lake, then cut back round through woodland paths before finding the main hard path to loop back again.
We saw a couple of other people but not many. If you're going to go off the main path, I'd recommend a gps or footpath map as it's easy to lose your bearings!
