Parking at the pub, overflow car park available to the left of the pub at busy times, no charge. Great beer garden at the back of the pub and super dog friendly inside and outside.
Reasonably flat and well marked, there is quite a steep hill coming through the village of Shotteswell but it is only a short section. There are a few stiles on this route, but all are sturdy and well kept as you can see from the photos.
There is a stream half way around this route but the banksof the stream are very steep so may be unsuitable for your dog.
In the village of Shotteswell other than that it's all countryside.
The Falcon is the obvious choice of pub especially if you are parking there. But there is also the Herb Centre 200 metres or so up the road if you want a cafe, and in the village of Warmington which is only half a mile down the road there is the super dog friendly pub called The Plough. There is also a fabulous campsite called Fir Tree Falconry just on the outskirts of the village of Warmington if you want to visit the area to walk some of our routes.
This is a great circular with plenty of off leadopportunities which follows the Jim Page Memorial Footpath. Some great viewsall along this route of the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. There is a smallwoodland section which can get a bit sticky in the wet weather but nothingimpassable. Indie (Cocker), Cooper (Labrador) and Riley (Sprocker) had a blaston this route with the bonus of snacks at the pub afterwards in the garden.
