Plenty of parking on road/lay-by by White Hart pub. You can join the walk from the garden centre over the road too, but if you do that beware - that car park is locked after the garden centre shuts for the day.
Pathways are generally well kept woodland trails and field paths, although are a little water-worn in places. It is mainly uphill for half the walk, and downhill on the return - nothing too steep though.
From the White Hart pub you can go under the road bridge to join the pathway on the other side. There is good access to the water here, but just be aware that you are close to the busy road.
No bins here.
The White Hart pub right where you park has a lovely outdoor area overlooking the bridge. Right across the road too is Pets Corner so can combine with stocking up on food! Is a popular spot for kayakers, so parking can be a bit busy on nice days.
The pretty 15th century grade-I listed bridge right opposite the pub at the start of this walk is a great photo op and it's worth taking a minute to enjoy the view.
The pathway is signed crossing the road just past the pub, although you can actually cross underneath the road bridge along the waters edge so I'd recommend doing that as it's quite a fast road. Once over the road it's a very simple walk, just carry on straight as far as you want to go. The paths are well kept and bordered in parts with old trees, and in parts with fields with lovely views.
We followed the path for about 1km before you come to some private houses, the path goes past these and across to a large field which was a nice open space for Hank to stretch his legs. The pathway continues past this field through a kissing gate crossing Coombelands Lane but we came back from here the way we came. There are plenty of pathways to continue on if you want a longer walk though.
On the pub side of the road, near the entrance from the main road there is another path heading in the opposite direction where there's another large open field over the iron bridge. As the other direction though making a loop is tricky here unless you want a much longer walk.
