Dependant on where you start this walk you can either park in the village of Swalcliffe or Shutford, both villages have limited on site parking available, as usual please be mindful of the local residents wherever you decide to park.
Reasonably flat walk, with wide open countryside spaces and no Stiles. Footpaths are very well signposted, you really can't go wrong.
No water here
A handful of bins along the route and through the villages.
This walk has the potential to be a two pub stop route, one pub being the George and Dragon in Shutford (currently seeking a new landlord, so please check before you go) and the other being the Stags Head in Swalcliffe (www.the-stags-head.co.uk).
Lots and lots of open fields on this walk for your dogs, but be warned the route was full of pheasants, hence why Riley and his mate Dylan remained on the lead on this walk. We caught the sunrise on a beautiful Sunday morning so didn't manage to get to the pubs because it was too early for them to open. No livestock when we walked it but I'm sure they would be well signposted when livestock is an issue.
It was also quite boggy in places but in the summer this would be a lovely clean route. It is also another one that crosses over the Macmillan Way if you are marking some of that route off. In Swacliffe there is also the Taddy End railway station line, another great photo opportunity for the dogs.
