There's an off-road layby with space for 3 or 4 cars right at the start of the walk down Kent Street. In my picture there is a stile next to the Metal gate between the cars which is where the walk starts.
Mix of field and woodland paths, bit muddy but not too boggy at the moment. Not too hilly, only one stile at the very start but Hank had no problem getting under the large gap underneath it.
A couple of nice ponds here.
No bins here
This is a great place for a quick walk, away from busy crowds and it's a very easy route too. Past the first field there's a signpost leading you straight on or right, and this is basically the apex of the loop. We went right which takes you through a small woodland, which if you stick to the main path takes you into a nice open field before you get to the main lake. There are other paths in this first woodland part too, and not too far off the beaten track to your left there's another pond too.
Once you see the main lake you can cross the little bridge and the path takes you around the lake, then back up the hill through the woods and fields back to where you started.
We didn't see any evidence of livestock in the fields or that it is used for horses but can't guarantee that. The only distractions we came across were lots of geese and ducks around the main lake, and do be aware that on the far side of the lake there is a road leading into Oakendene industrial estate so on another day there may be cars or machinery moving around for that small section but was still and quiet today, and overall it was a lovely walk perfect for the time we had available!
