Small car par located off Crimborne Lane. 2m height restriction and very pot holed and bumpy so take care not to ground your car!
A proper woodland walk, there's bumps and valleys, muddy slippery drops and fallen trees to clamber over.
There is a stream that you can follow the banks of walking alongside.
No bins here
Bedham ruined church is local to here, and can be reached if you want a longer walk
Once you're parked up in the very bumpy car park you can follow the signed trail into the woods and immediately the huge canopy engulfs you. It's almost eerie, and even in good weather the canopy makes it dark underneath and once you're away from the road noise it's strangely quiet with just the creaking trees making a sound. You snap yourself out of being ridiculous and then lots of wooden dens and stacked branches make you wonder if the Blair Witch is around here somewhere!
She wasn't though. It is in fact a very beautiful woodland and very peacful, I didn't see a soul and Hank loved having a whole walk off the lead and exploring the woods, tearing up and down the paths and valleys. There is a map at the entrance but I just winged it, the path leads you to an opening with the stream at the centre and I took a right and followed the path along it - after a short while you cross a narrow private road and the path continues further beyond it. I got to the end of one section of pathway as I came out by some private houses so I'm sure you can go further, but I doubled back on myself and this still came out at about a 45 minute walk which was just right for the time I had available and good enough to wear Hank out.
