Pay and display car park, see photos for current prices
Pebble beach at high tide, sandy plains at low tide. Field walk section is mix of gravel and mud paths, very flat but quite narrow and uneven in sections.
Todays tide times:
Poo bins at the car park, and further general waste bin along the beach by the start of the field section.
There's a small cafe at the car park, and some toilets just along the entrance to the boardwalk. Check local info for opening times though.
This is a great, long beach that if you avoid peak summer sunbathing times is perfect for dog walking. I'd recommend going at low tide as the wide sandy beach is great for running and splashing around, but it's a nice place even at high tide if you're happy to walk on the pebbles, or amongst the sandy dunes for some fresh sea air.
It's a long stretch of beach, and if you just want to keep to the beach you can walk all the way up to Climping beach and just come back when you're ready. We wanted a bit of variation today so walked almost to Climping, and turned right through the fields inland. Shortly along this path there's a cut-though in the fields on your right taking you back parallel to the beach. The path eventually takes you back to the Rope Walk road and back to the car park, through some nice open fields, along the golf course and through a small copse of woodland and past the harbour.
